Serious beach erosion was leading to the loss of an oil refinery in Naimah, Saudi Arabia. This video (9 min 57 sec) shows how engineers had tried many different methods to try to stop the erosion, all to no avail.

Holmberg undertook a feasibility study in 1996, and this video shows in some detail the resulting construction that began in 1999, involving the building of a new access road and the removal of rocks that had been placed there in an unsuccessful attempt at erosion control. By July 2000, the positive results of Undercurrent Stabilizers™ were obvious, and the beach continues to grow to this day.
